Basic Essentials is a full service customized skin care salon located in Solon, Ohio. We are an experienced, dependable, licensed, friendly and highly knowledgeable professional team of skin care experts dedicated to your satisfaction.

Serving men, women, and teenagers, Basic Essentials offers a full spectrum of services to assist clients in living well and being well in their living.

We are located on 33650 Aurora Road, just west of S.O.M. Center Rd. (Rt. 91) in Solon, Ohio.

Our Staff

Judy Tuma

Judy Tuma is a graduate of Lakeland Community College with a degree in Electrolysis and has been licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board since 1986. In 1998, Judy attended the Brown Institute in Mentor, Ohio for Esthiology and also received her license from the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology. She has also received her paramedical asthestics certificate. Judy is constantly upgrading her skills and knowledge in numerous continuing education programs in electrolysis, skin care and permanent cosmetics.

Carly Kurzawa

Carly has been a licensed managing Esthestician for 5 years and received her education from Grace College in Ohio. She has also received certification in the following: Advanced Education in Esthestics from the Dermalogica Institute, Advanced make-up & Color theory, Microdermabrasion Training, Face Mapping, Advanced Waxing Techniques and Advanced Facial Treatments. Carly has also completed College Business Management and Business Law classes at Kent State University.

Terry Carine
Certified Karuna Reiki® Master/Teacher

Teaching others how to use Reiki for themselves and others since 1998.

Trained in Level I Reiki in 1998. Continued training through all levels and became certified in the highest level of Reiki as a Karuna Reiki® Master/Teacher by the International Center for Reiki Training in December of 1999.

Reiki means "spiritually guided life force energy." It is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that allows everyone to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve health and enhance the quality of life. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through you and surrounds you.
